BASEBALL
The Blue Devils played Libertyville three times this week. They lost in extra innings on Monday and came back for a nice 4-1 win with a complete game by Ryan Risch. On Thursday, Warren defeated Stevenson 7-1. Adam Schliz got the win for the Devils. Kendall Lyons and Sam Schmitt were both 2-3 on the day. Warren is now 17-12-1 on the season. Regionals start on Friday.
BOYS LACROSSE
Boys lacrosse had a huge week. Varsity went 2-0 this week bringing their season record to 10-2. They beat a very talented #3 state ranked Lake Forest team on Wednesday 9-8. The Blue Devils will finish up their regular season on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. They will claim a share of the NSC Championship with a win over Stevenson on Wednesday. They earned the #2 seed in their sectional behind Lake Forest and will begin their state series on Monday, June 7th at home.
GIRLS LACROSSE
The girls finish up the regular season on Thursday with a home game against Stevenson. Sectionals begin June 7.
GIRLS SOCCER
NORTH SUBURBAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!!! A big congratulations to the team on winning the NSC! Two big wins over Stevenson and Waukegan put them in a 3 way tie with Libertyville and Stevenson for the title. All 3 teams are amongst the top teams in the state! They defeated Stevenson on Tuesday 1-0. Amber Langosch scored the lone goal in the game. Trish Georgiou had an amazing 8 saves for Warren. On Thursday, they took it to Waukegan 8-0. Ella Skelton had three goals, Samantha Pullins scored twice, as did Amber Langosch. Alina May also scored for Warren. Now it is on to Regionals!
SOFTBALL
NORTH SUBURBAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!!! The Blue Devils ran table in winning the conference championship! Quite an accomplishment. This week they beat Waukegan 6-3, Mundelein 7-1, Libertyville 15-0, and Laker Forest 16-4. Regionals begin Wednesday at Warren.
BOYS TENNIS
The Warren Boys Tennis program had another very successful week! The week began with the JV2 team defeating Antioch's VARSITY team 3 matches to 2. And then the Warren JV1 team sweeping Carmel 9 matches to none. The week ended with the Varsity and JV1 teams finishing third in the North Suburban Conference Tournament. It's the first time in six years that the program finished as strong in conference. The week ahead features the JV1 and JV2 playing Grant on Tuesday and then the JV1 playing in the Lakes Varsity Invite on Wednesday. The Varsity team will compete in the IHSA Sectional Tournament at Deerfield High School on Friday and Saturday with a chance to qualify for the IHSA State Tournament.

The boys track team did not compete this week as they gear up the NSC Championship meet on June 3rd.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
NSC Girls Track & Field Conference Meet 5/26/2021
Your Warren Blue Devils were ranked 6th out of 8 teams on both JV and Varsity going into the conference meet this past Wednesday (5/26/2021). With their competitive spirit, the Girls Track & Field team rocked the conference meet and placed 4th in the conference on the Varsity (not far behind the tie for 2nd place), and 2nd in the conference on the JV level! A huge congratulations to all the girls for an outstanding performance.
Some highlights on the Varsity team include Annika Bynum tying her career PR in the High Jump and taking 1st place in the conference with a jump of 5'7. Kayleigh Glickley jumped a new Personal Best to earn 2nd in conference and jumping right at the state qualifying length of 5.33 Meters (17'5 in feet). Isabella Smith through a new PR in the Discuss with a throw of 20.41 meters (67 feet). The 4 x 100 relay placed 3rd in a tight race, and not too far off stay qualifying time by running a 50.67. The 4 x 200 relay placed 3rd as well with a time of 1:51.44, with Carolina Martinez having a great sprint on the last leg to secure 3rd place. The 4 x 400 relay ended the night with a 5th place finish against a super fast heat! Kayleigh Glickley placed 4th in conference in the 100 meter dash. Madison Hecker scored big points for the team by placing 5th in the 200 meter dash and earning 2nd place in the 400 meter dash. Fatima Naveed held on to 2nd place in her heat in a tight race with a time of 1:09 in the 400 meter dash. Nicole Harrison ran a great race in the 800 meter run, placing 8th in the conference. Mia Pasha and Taylor Latza placed well in the 3200 meter run in a strategic race. Mia placed 4th in conference to earn all conference and Taylor placed 9th, just right outside of placing. Alyla Ditiangkin ran 2 great hurdle races by winning both the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles; a big achievement.
On the JV side, the Blue Devils had a great day. Isabella Wittwer came out with the win in the long jump, placing 1st with a jump of 4.76 meters (15'6 feet). Isabella Alcivar and Peyton Abraham rocked the pole vault by placing 4th and 5th in the event (7'3 for Isabella and 6'7 for Peyton). The distancer runners Caralyn Whalen, Delaney Juenger, Emily Towson, and Kylie Florence crushed it in both the 4 x 800 relay and 4 x 400 relay by placing 1st place in both! Bringing home the gold. The 4 x 100 team of Isabella Wittwer, Katherine Wiklund, Faith Gaston, and Emily Carpenter took home 1st place as well, running a time of 53.34. Faith Gaston took home 1st place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.71 and Isabella Wittwer took 5th with a time of 14.37. In the 200 meter dash, Katherine Wiklund blazed out and flew to a 1st place finish with a time of 29.26, setting a new PR, and Emily Carpenter placed 5th with a 30.38. Emily Towson and Kylie Florence go 2nd and 3rd in conference in the 800 meter run. Caralyn Whalen takes 1st in the 1600 meter run, pulling away in the last 2 laps, while Delaney runs a strong race to earn 4th in conference (both setting PR's). Madi Tyler sets a new PR in the 3200 meter run to earn 3rd place in conference with a time of 13:15. In the 300 hurdles, Ama Baffoe places 4th in the conference and for the 3rd week in a row sets a new PR by running a 56.96.
The Girls Track & Field Team is looking forward to the sectional meet to see how many athletes can get down to the state meet next week!!
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
NOTH SUBURBAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!!! The boys volleyball team also went undefeated in conference on their way to winning the NSC Championship! It is the first undefeated conference season in school history!
The JV team went 4-2 this week. Frosh/soph was 5-1. The frosh B team went 1-1. The volleyball program will have the last match of the season against New Trier on Tuesday. Varsity will host a quad on Thursday. The varsity will start regionals on 6/7. All the matches will be at home.

WRESTLING
The wrestling team continues to get better during this shortened season. The guys are really working hard and they are beginning to retain some of our core movements and strategies. It is exciting to see! This past Wednesday the Devils wrestled Libertyville. Some wrestling occurred. On Thursday, your Warren wrestlers battled tough Wauconda and Grayslake North teams. Zach Dabney and Reyes Gonzales split on the week going 1 – 1 but they continue to improve and their leadership is really coming into play here towards the end of the season. Zach Sutor and Nevan Mitrovic each went 2-1 on the week and continue to gain some great varsity experience. Speaking of varsity experience, Sam Sellers and Jeremiah Hixon both had varsity wins this weekend. Congratulations to them! Joey DeVries also wrestled varsity and battled in a close match for your Blue Devils. In frosh news Tylor Zervos, David Gonzales, and Fernando Rodriguez, continue to score points for the Blue Devils! Daniel Currea and Jacob Bolender are wrestling well and are looking to expand as leaders on the team. Janis Lund got her second win in a Warren singlet wrestling up two weight classes! This week is the penultimate week of the season. The Blue Devils travel to Waukegan on Friday and have a recently scheduled dual during this crazy season with Niles West and Loyola!
