WRESTLING

Penultimate week of wrestling over, AND the wrestlers did very well! Warren wrestlers went undefeated vs. Waukegan on Friday night. Varsity wins by fall came from Zach Sutor, Colton Stevens, and Nevan Mitrovic. Frosh level wrestlers got pins from David Gonzales, Brendan Albama, and Logan Kowalke Reinwald. Additionally, wrestling picked up a last minute tri at Niles West and Loyola on Saturday. Your Blue Devil Grapplers wrestled great! Varsity grapplers lost one match versus Niles West with Sean Stichauff, Zach Piszkiewicz, Zach Sutor, and Reyes Gonzales scoring bonus points. Giannmarco Beltran got caught early and had to fight off his back for about 1 minute and 45 seconds. After that, Giannmarco fought back and then ended up pinning that same opponent in the same match! A HUGE example of toughness! Against Loyola, Zach Sutor, Nevan Mitrovic, Giannmarco Beltran, and Reyes Gonzales all came away with victories. This week your grapples wrestle Grayslake North on Tuesday and then finish up the season against Zion on Friday! GO BLUE DEVILS!
