BASEBALL
The baseball season came to an end with a 8-3 loss to Glenbrook South in the Regional Final.
BOYS LACROSSE
The state series began last week. The Devils took care of business in the sectional quarterfinal and semi-finals games. They defeated Lakes 16-4 and Libertyville 10-6. They ran into a tough Lake Forest Friday night in the Sectional Final losing 10-3. Still a very good season including winning the NSC Championship.
GIRLS LACROSSE
The Blue Devils lost in the Sectional quarterfinal to Stevenson 16-3.
GIRLS SOCCER
The team lost the Sectional Semi-Final 4-0 to Stevenson. The team had a great season winning both the NSC and the IHSA Regional!
SOFTBALL
The Blue Devils started Sectional play with a 12-2 win over Prospect. They took on a solid Barrington team in the Sectional Final. They lost 9-3. They played hard and never gave up! They finish the season with a conference and regional championship.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
The Blue Devils had a great day at the IHSA Sectionals. They qualified to the state meet in 6 events! Luke Wiley easily won the 3200 by over 30 seconds. He also took 2nd in the 1600. Griffin Pasha also qualified in the 1600. The 4x800 relay team of Griffin Pasha, Ryan Moats, David Lara, and Max Zeisler qualified. The 4x100 team of Cassius Callahan, Jalen Duffie, Jaden Turner, Joel Williams won. They also ran the second fastest time in school history! Jalen Duffie also qualified in the 200m. Good luck next Saturday in Charleston!
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
STATE CHAMPION! Annika Bynum won the high jump in dramatic fashion Saturday at the State Finals in Charleston. Down to her last jump to either win or take 2nd, Annika cleared 5’8” to win it! It was also a personal best for her. During the competition, she was down to her last jump two other times facing elimination, she came through. It was all very nerve wracking and exciting to say the least. Sophomore Mia Pasha ran well at her first state competition. Alyla Ditiangkin placed 11th in the 110 hurdles. Congratulations to the coaches and athletes on a fine season.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball competed in the IHSA Regionals this week. In the first round, they defeated Waukegan 25-16, 25-16. In the semi-finals, they lost to Zion 25-12, 26-24. Although not the outcome they had hoped for, overall still a successful season including a NSC Championship.
WRESTLING
Warren Wrestling finished the season with a win over Zion-Benton on Friday. Senior Zach Dabney had a fall in his last match in a Warren singlet. Juniors Nevan Mitrovic and Reyes Gonzalez scored bonus points for Warren. Juniors Sean Stichauf and Giannmarco Beltran also wrestled well for Warren. All things considered, your Warren grapplers had a fantastic season, finishing just over .500 for the year. Additionally, 7 freshmen and 3 sophomores were able to gain varsity experience this season.
Warren Wrestling now will concentrate on their summer season and the upcoming IWCOA wrestling tournament. With the IHSA cancelling our state series, the IWCOA stepped up to conduct its own post-season tournaments. Look for results from this tournament as well as summer wrestling results over the next few weeks.
