BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
The boys cross-country team fared well against some of the toughest competition in the state at the Peoria Invite. They finished in a 3 way tie for 2nd ending up in third through tie breakers. Luke Wiley finished in second place. They run against Waukegan and Lake Forest on Tuesday.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
9/28- Tri Meet against Zion/Lake Zurich
The Girls Cross Country Team competed against Zion-Benton and Lake Zurich on Tuesday. Although losing to both teams, the Blue Devils ran smart and competed hard. Congratulations to Mia Pasha, Emma Leung, and Chloe Yoder for leading the Blue Devils.

Your Girls Cross Country Team competed at 2 meets this weekend on Saturday. The team competed at the Pat Harland Invite hosted by Antioch High School. The team placed 4th out of 12 in the JV team. Shout out to Grace Metcalf, Dara-Santin-Zendejas, and Jiselle Cochon on placing in the top 30. In the Open Race, the Girls Cross Country Team took 2nd place! Congratulations to Savanna Sweitlik, Fatima Naveed, Khiran Bhalla , and Isabella Gibbs for placing top 20. Way to go to all the girls competing at Antioch for placing top 5 as a team in both races. The Varsity team traveled down to Peoria to compete at the Peoria Invitational. Facing some of the best teams in the state, The Blue Devils placed 8th out of 28 teams. All 7 competitors competed well and ran a very sound and fast race. Led by Mia Pasha, finishing 11th in the race, the Blue Devils also had Freshman Emma Leung and Viktoria Higgins place in the top 30. Shout out to Morgan Vawter, Kylie Florance, Grace Wiser, and Lia Tondeva for finishing in a tight pack to secure top 10 as a team. The Girls XC team look forward to competing in the last conference dual meet on schedule this week on Tuesday at Waukegan.
FOOTBALL
Blue Devil football had quite a showing at the first Homecoming game two years defeating Waukegan 81-0. It was game that every player got the opportunity to play on Homecoming. This week, the Devils travel to Mundelein on Friday night.
BOYS GOLF
The Boys Golf team competed in the IHSA 3A Boys Golf Regional on Wednesday at Deerfield. Nick Steinhilber shot 77 and qualified for sectionals. Andreas Ackron and Vaughn Hartnig shot 84, while Alex Welder and Rohan Iyer shot 85. Anders Johnson shot 91. Sectionals take place Monday at Buffalo Grove.
GIRLS GOLF
The girls golf team won the IHSA Regionals Wednesday qualifying for the Sectional on Monday. Golfers on the winning team are Ally Badgley, Alaina Goeden, Gracie Haupt, Josie Leibfried, Kylie Wilste, and Jordan Dodd. Good luck!
BOYS SOCCER
Blue Devil soccer went 1-1 on the week. They lost a tough game to Mundelein 1-0. Then defeated Mundelein 1-0 for an important conference win. Alexis Medina scored for the Devils. George Mc Atee had 4 saves. Warren is 9-2-4 on the season. This week they play at Libertyville on Tuesday, home against Lake Forest on Thursday, and home on Friday night against New Trier.
GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING
The Girls Swim and Dive team had a busy week in the pool. The competed agains Lake Forest on Thursday. Varsity came up with a tough loss 97-88. JV came up on top with another win 108-78. All the girls dove and swam hard. Warren hosted the 18th annual Blue Devil Invite. Both JV and Varsity had some outstanding swims with record- breaking times! JV placed 2nd overall and had some top place finishes. Freshman Anna Bevers came out on top. She placed 1st in the 200 Individual Medley, placed 1st and a new JV school record in the 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 1:04.74. She was also on the 1st place 200 yard Freestyle relay which also consisted of Faith Harris, Kalidah Gonzalez and Sophia Joses and 2nd place 200 yard medley relay which also consisted of Kalidah Gonzalez. Faith Cabalfin, and Sophia Edgar. Freshman Sophia Jose placed first in the 200 yard freestyle. Freshman Kalidah Gonzalez placed 2nd in the 200 IM and 100 yard backstroke. Junior Sophia Edgar placed 2nd in the 100 yard breaststroke. Senior Faith Cabalfin placed 3rd in the 100 yard breaststroke. JV had an amazing meet. Way to go girls! On the varsity level, the 200 yard Medley relay, Grace Bevers, Aly Wallander, Hailey Benoit, and Olivia Buccelli placed 3rd. Grace Bevers placed 2nd in the 200 yard IM and 1st place in the 100 yard backstroke. Hailey Benoit placed 3rd in the 100 yard backstroke. Lastly, the 200 yard freestyle relay placed 2nd which consisted of: Grace Bevers, Aly Wallander, Hailey Benoit, and Olivia Buccelli. Our divers also had a great meet. Varsity diver Evy Haggerty placed 4th and Alayna McCormick placed 5th. JV diver Paige Dostal placed 4th. The Girls go up against Mundelein this Thursday 10/7/2021.
GIRLS TENNIS
Warren tennis continues to play strong with a huge 5-2 win over Libertyville this week. They lost a competitive dual meet to Lake Forest before sweeping our final home quad of the year on Saturday with wins over Niles North, Antioch, and Rockford-Harlem. Varsity now has a 19-2 dual meet record and will play their final meet on Wednesday at Vernon Hills before playing in the conference tournament on Friday.
JV also competed well this week against Libertyville, Grayslake Central, and Lake Forest and went 3-0 in their sweep of the York Quad on Saturday.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Varsity – won both matches this week. We are currently 17 – 9, and 4 – 0 in conference. It will be a busy schedule this week with away matches at Niles North (Monday), Mundelein (Wednesday), and then at the St. Charles East Invite on Friday and Saturday.
Sophomores – Won against Waukegan and had a successful Quad this week. Team is starting to play with some consistency and confidence.
Freshman A - Had an outstanding week, finishing 2-0! Their game against Wauconda went three before the Blue Devils were able to show their strengths as a team. Through some amazing hustle, perseverance, and smart game play the girls finished off Waukegan in two short matches to add to their wins for the week. Way to go Freshmen A!
Freshman B – went 2 and 3 this week, with Wins over Waukegan and Maine West.
