BOYS BASKETBALL
After a busy holiday weekend winning the Mundelein Thanksgiving Tournament, the Blue Devils Varsity was off this week. The JV team was able to get a couple of victories of their own. They defeated Lakes on Wednesday and then Lake Forest on Thursday. The Blue Devils host a conference showdown with Waukegan on Tuesday, December 4th. Then on Friday, the Blue Devils boys and girls teams both play Libertyville at the Almond Rd. Campus.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The girls basketball team had a tough loss on Tuesday against conference foe Stevenson. They came back strong Friday night with a big conference win over Mundelein 29-19. On Saturday night, they lost a one point overtime heartbreaker to Lakes. Next up is a conference home game Wednesday against Waukegan. On Friday, both the boys and girls get to play at Warren against Libertyville.
BOYS BOWLING
On Saturday, both the JV and varsity teams bowled in the Vernon Hills Invitational. The JV team took 11th place. Adrian Arenas finished in 7th place overall. The varsity team finished in 11th place out of 23 teams. Up next are two home games against Stevenson and Libertyville sandwiched between a Wednesday road game against Mundelein.
GIRLS BOWLING
The girls bowling team started the season with a big win over Lake Zurich. Briana Haith led all bowlers with a 657 series and a high game of 237. They have busy week coming up with conference games Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday against Zion, Stevenson, and Libertyville respectively. On Saturday, the bowling devils travel to Plainfield North for their Invitational.
CHEERLEADING
The cheerleaders began the competition portion of their season today at Crystal Lake Central. They took 2nd place! It was their first competition of the season and they came through with a good routine. Next Sunday they compete in the Stevenson Invitational.
DEVILETTES
The Devilettes competed in the Minooka Invitational on Saturday. It is a huge competition with very strong teams. The JV team placed 12th out of 22 teams. They performed well. The varsity also have a very solid performance. They placed 12th out of 42 teams! Next Sunday they travel to Stevenson for their Invitational.
GYMNASTICS
The Blue Devils varsity and JV opened up the season on Thursday with a meet against Lake Forest and Lake Zurich. The JV team took 2nd place. Aaliyah Humphreys placed 4th on the beam and 6th on the vault. Jakara Peterson-Perry finished 5th on the floor exercise and 6th on the bars. Amara Dozier finished 5th in the All-Around and 6th on the floor exercise. The varsity lost to both Lake Zurich and Lake Forest. Daniella Strauss tied for 4th place on the vault. Abbie Bosko tied for 4th on the beam. The girls are working hard and gearing up for their next conference meet on December 4th against Libertyville.
BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING
The boys swimming and diving team had a busy and successful weekend. On Friday, the season got under way at the Deerfield Relays where they finished in 3rd place. Spencer Burton and Wesley Tunelius placed 2nd in the diving relay. Thee 400 medley team of Nathan Heuberger, Taylor Vanderjeught, Leo Forney, and Jeremy Gunter took 4th place. The 500 relay of Evan Berndt, Robert Carlson, Jarrett Lobitz, and Jack Foster also finished in 4th place. The 300 IM relay of Leo Forney, Taylor Vander-Jeugdt, and Brian Tabourot finished in 4th place. The 200 frosh/soph medley of Dante Rinaldi, Evan Berndt, Nathan Heuberger, and Jarrett Lobitz finished in 3rd place. The 200 free relay of Brian Tabourot, Jeremy Gunter, Taylor Vander-Jeugdt, and Leo Forney swam to a 4th place finish. The 300 backstroke relay of Dante Rinaldi, Jack Tarantino, and Jack Foster finished in third place. The 400 breast/fly relay of Jarrett Lobitz, Dante Rinaldi, Nathan Heuberger, and Austin Edmondson finished in 4th place. The 200 frosh/soph free relay of Jarrett Lobitz, Dante Rinaldi, Nathan Heuberger, and Jack Tarantino took 5th place. The 400 free relay of Jack Fost, Jeremy Gunter, Leo Forney, and Jarrett Lobitz finished in 4th place. On Saturday, the Blue Devils swam to a strong 3rd place finish at the Patriot Relays hosted by Stevenson.

Senior 50 Free - 2nd place - Leo Forney.
4 X 100 Class Relay - 3rd place - Jake Snyder Jack Tarantino, Drew Kilcullen, and Santiago Currea.
600 Free Relay - 3rd place -Jeremy Gunter, Jonah Park, and Jack Foster.
200 Free Relay - 2nd place - Dante Rinaldi, Taylor Vander-Jeugdt, Leo Forney, and Jeremy Gunter.
350 Backstroke Relay - 2nd place- Jack Tarantino, Nathan Heuberger, and Jack Foster.
400 Free Freshman Relay - 2nd place - Ryan Sundberg, Jake Snyder, Robert Carlson, and Evan Berndt.
400 Free Sophomore Relay - 1st place - Jarrett Lobitz, Dante Rinald,i Nathan Heuberger,and Jack Tarantino .
400 Free Varsity Relay - 3rd place- Jeremy Gunter, Joemil Duka, Taylor Vander-Jeugdt, and Jarrett Lobitz.
This week the swim team will host Waukegan. On Saturday, they travel to Libertyville for the Libertyville Invitational.
WRESTLING
The Blue Devils wrestling team started conference competition on Friday with a sweep of Waukegan at all levels. On Saturday, the varsity team travelled to Stagg High School for the 38th Annual Anderson Invite. The varsity finished in 3rd place with 148 points. The Devils had 3 champions, Sawyer Nash, Cameron Domke, and Christian Domke. Armando Barrandey placed 2nd. Jarrvis Myrick finished in third place. Both Noah and Adam Hergenreder took 4th place. Placing 5th were Nathan Padilla, Alex Jimenez, and Keann Matias. Edgar Maldinado and Marcellus Wroten both took 6th place . Jack Ramsden took 7th place. Everyone placed and it was a true team effort to secure the 3rd place team finish! The JV team swept their quad against Maine West, New Trier, and Hoffman Estates. The freshmen went to Palatine where they were the Tournament Champions. There were eight individuals champions. They were: Sean Stichauf, Jondell Vazquez, Zach Suter, Nevan Mitrovic, Giannmarco Beltran, Kameron, Shaw, Sebastian Rosales, and Reyes Gonzalez. Andres Arenas, Adrianna Demos, and James Johnson all placed second. Dariel Rivera and Aidan Tascher both took home third place. This week the wrestlers are home against Lake Forest. The varsity will compete on Saturday at the Maine South Quad. The JV is at Niles North and the freshmen host a quad.
