WRESTLING
The wrestling team had another fantastic weekend! They competed in the IHSA State Finals at University of Illinois on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sawyer Nash, Austin Nash, Cameron Domke, Isaiah Parker, and Joel Vandervere all competed at the State Finals. Both Austin and Sawyer Nash finished in the top 8 for their respective weight class. Cameron Domke and Isaiah Parker also wrestled well. Sophomore Joel Vandervere finished in 2nd place! He lost the championship match in an extremely competitive 4-2 decision. Joel worked hard to come back from a torn ACL to even compete this season. He began competition in mid- January. To miss three quarters of the season and then place 2nd is quite an accomplishment! All of the wrestlers did great at state and represented Warren in the best possible way. Congratulations to Brad Janecek, Jim Ouimette, and the entire coaching staff on a great season!!
