BADMINTON
The varsity badminton team traveled to DeKalb on Saturday for their very competitive invitational. The Devils defeated DeKalb 5-2 and Lamont 5-2. They lost to Geneva 2-5, Oswego 2-5, West Chicago 2-5, and St. Charles 2-5. The JV team took first place in the Maine East Invitational on Saturday. Next up, Stevenson comes to the O’Plaine Campus on Tuesday for a NSC match up. On Thursday, The Blue Devils are home again against Libertyville.
BASEBALL
As shocking as it may seem, the baseball team was not able to get a game in last week. This week looks more promising. Tomorrow the varsity travels to Grayslake North and the JV and the frosh/soph teams host Grayslake North. On Tuesday, the varsity travels to Lane Tech to play on the beautiful Kerry Wood Field. The JV and frosh/soph teams will host Lane Tech. On Thursday, the varsity and frosh/soph travel to Palatine and the JV and freshmen teams will host Palatine.
BOYS LACROSSE
The action started on Friday night against Carmel. The JV tied the Corsairs 3-3 in a defensive game. The varsity dominated Carmel 15-6 with 9 different players scoring for the Blue Devils. Warren had a clear percentage of over 85% and a faceoff percentage of over 70%. This week the boys play at Evanston on Wednesday and at Glenbrook North on Thursday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
The girls teams have a busy week ahead of them. On Tuesday, they play at Carmel. On Wednesday, the Devils host Barrington. On Thursday, the varsity game has a make up game at Regina Dominican.
GIRLS SOCCER
The season kicked off on Tuesday with a match up against New Trier. The Varsity Blue Devils and Trevians played to a 1-1 tie. On Wednesday, The Blue Devils lost to Highland Park 1-0. None of the lower levels teams played due to poor conditions on the grass fields. This week, the freshmen will have a make-up game against New Trier on Wednesday. On Thursday, the varsity plays at Wauconda and the freshmen host Wauconda.
SOFTBALL
Softball was not able to play games this week. But, they should be able to get a few games in this week. The varsity team will play in the Barrington Tournament on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The JV team will play Barrington on Tuesday and the JVII team will play Barrington on Wednesday. On Saturday, the varsity and JV teams have doubleheaders at Marengo High School
BOYS TENNIS
The varsity tennis team played in 2 duals meets at The University of Illinois. The Blue Devils defeated Peoria Richwoods 7-2. Warren won 5 of the 6 single matches and 2 of the 3 doubles matches. Tim Hidalgo, Nihad Mokkath, Sahil Tripurana, Alex Kuscsik, and Collin Sorge won in singles. Colton Wood/Collin Sorge and Inman Glass/Keann Matias also won in doubles. Warren then lost to Urbana Hogh School 6-3 with a split squad. Collin Sorge and Andreas Ackron both won in singles. The doubles team of Nihad Mokkath and David Olander also won. In exhibition matches, Warren defeated Peoria Richwoods 11-0 and Urbana 9-1. Next up, the varsity and JV teams both compete in duals at Lakes High School on March 23rd.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
The boys track & field team concluded the indoor portion of the season on Saturday competing in the Lake Michigan Invite at Carthage College. Out of 25 teams, The Devils finished in 11th out of 25 teams in a highly competitive meet. A few of the highlights from the meet were the 4x800 meter relay team finishing in 4th place, and the 4x200 meter relay finishing in 5th place. Luke Wiley set the school indoor freshman record in the mile by running a time of 4:42 and placing 13th out of 57 runners. Up next is the outdoor season beginning the first week of April.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
The girls track and field team competed at Carthage College Friday night at the Lake Michigan Invitational. The girls had a strong showing at the competitive Lake Michigan Invitational at Carthage College on Friday. With over 35 teams in attendance from Illinois, Wisconsin, and even NW Indiana, the Blue Devils took 5th place overall! The following athletes scored points for the team (top 8 places):

- Jaelyn Walker (So), Ashley Kachurik (Sr), Taylor Latza (So), Janii Jenkins (Sr) – 5th place in the 4x400m Relay
- Ashley Kachurik (Sr), Nicole Harrison (So), Madison Juenger (Jr), Taylor Latza (So) – 7th place in the 4x800m Relay
- Annika Bynum (So) – 3rd place in High Jump
- Clara Macheras (Sr) – 5th place in Shot Put
The outdoor season begins on April 2nd against Lake Forest.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
The Blue Devils begin their season tomorrow at Evanston High School. The home opener is on Wednesday against Deerfield High School. The varsity has a tournament Friday and Saturday Vernon Hills. The freshmen have an invite at Willowbrook High School.
BOYS WATER POLO
The water polo team went 2-2 at the Elk Grove Tournament. They beat Maine West 8-7 and Deerfield 9-4. They lost to Buffalo Grove 8-2 and Riverside-Brookfield 9-8. The devils host Vernon Hills on Wednesday.
GIRLS WATER POLO
The girls water polo team next play in a JV quad on Saturday at Maine West.
