Kimberly Lobitz, Head Coach
Coach Lobitz is a graduate of York Community High School where she was a four-year varsity swimmer and two-year varsity soccer player and two-year varsity water polo player. Coach Lobitz went on to compete at the NCAA level for Illinois State University where she earned a BA in History Education. She has a Masters in Education from Northern Illinois University as well as a Masters in Administration from National Louis University. She is currently in her 26th year teaching at Warren Township High School. Coach Lobitz has previously severed as the Head Girls Swimming and Diving Coach at Warren from 1997-2004, boys and girls diving coach at Warren from 2005-2008, JV boys water polo at Warren from 2020-2021 and Varsity boys water polo at Warren from 2021-2023. In addition to coaching the boys swim program at Warren in the winter, during the fall season she is the head JV girls swimming coach at Lake Forest High School in the fall. Coach Lobitz is also a USA Swimming Official with Wisconsin Swimming and has served as a Starter and Referee at numerous state and national level meets. Coach Lobitz lives in Grayslake with her two boys, both WTHS graduates and Army ROTC Cadets at Southern Illinois University.
Samantha Korstanje, Assistant Coach
Coach Korstanje graduated from Oak Forest High School where she was a two-year JV swimmer and two-year Varsity swimmer. In her senior year, she was named captain of the swim team. Coach Korstanje was also a four-year softball player where she was on JV her first two years and Varsity player her Junior and Senior year. Coach Korstanje competed at the NJCAA level for Lincoln College and was a 12-time National Award Winner in Swimming qualifying for Nationals in 13 events over the course of two years. Coach Korstanje also played softball at Lincoln College and was a Resident Assistant (RA) her sophomore year. After graduating in 2008 with her Associate's degree from Lincoln College, Coach Korstanje transferred to Eastern Illinois University where she received her degree in Sociology in 2011. Currently, she is working on her master's degree in School Social Work at Aurora University. Coach Korstanje is starting her 11th year at Warren; this will also be her 11th year as the boy's assistant coach for Boys Swimming and Diving. Coach Korstanje has also coached softball here at Warren from 2015-2019. Coach Korstanje was the Girls' Swimming and Diving Assistant Coach from 2017-2021 and beginning with the 2022 season she is the Girls' Swimming and Diving Head Coach at Warren. Coach Korstanje lives in McHenry with her husband of 9 years and three boys - Keith (7), Oliver (4), and Lincoln (1).
