BOYS BASKETBALL
The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost to Fremd last Tuesday night 56 – 41. The Boys Basketball team was scheduled to play Round Lake on Friday but that game had to be postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. The Sophomore Boys Basketball team is playing a tournament at Jacobs over the break, the freshman team is hosting a tournament over break and the Varsity team is playing in the Pontiac Holiday Tournament on December 28, 29 and 30th. All the Boys teams will play a home game against Waukegan on January 4th and a game at Mundelein on January 7th.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Varsity Girls basketball team went 1-2 in the past week. On Tuesday, the Blue Devils won a non-conference contest against Wauconda, 45-26. Highlight of the game is that 8 girls entered the scoring column being led by Grace Lynch with 10 pts, and Mariah Phelps with 9 pts. On Friday and Saturday the Blue Devils played two of the top teams in the Lake County and the state but unfortunately dropped both contests. On Friday they lost to Stevenson 48-23. Leading scorer was Grace Lynch with 12 pts. Another quick turn around on Saturday morning saw the Blue Devils lose to Deerfield 52-38 in the opening game of the Grant Holiday Tournament. The Blue Devils were led in scoring again by Mariah Phelps with 15 pts including 3 three pointers and Grace Lynch with 12 pts. The Lady Blue Devils currently have a record of 6-4, and 3-2 in the North Suburban Conference. Play continues on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Grant Holiday Tournament.
BOYS BOWLING
The Blue Devils defeated Grant in tight match on Monday 2998-2971. Jarrett Smith led the way with a 653 series. Warren also defeated Mundelein this week, 2894-2691. Quron Jones was high score for the Devils with a 619 series. Warren is back in action on January 7 with the NSC Championships.
GIRLS BOWLING
Girls Bowling swept 3 teams this week in dual-match play and finished 5th at the Vernon Hills Invite on Saturday. The Blue Devils defeated Grant 2603-2147 on Monday, with sophomore Kayla Cameron leading the way with a 597 series and a second game score of 238. Senior Rachel Flores-Mangaran also rolled a 231 in her second game against Grant. On Wednesday, the Devils emerged victorious over Waukegan, 2258-2000. On Saturday, Kayla Cameron struck her way to finishing 4th individually and led the Devils to a 5th place finish as a team. Senior Nita Suon finished with a 5th place medal in the Junior Varsity division. The Blue Devils are off until a match against Stevenson on January 10th.

The cheerleaders next competition is on January 9th at Buffalo Grove.
COMPETITIVE DANCE
The Devilettes next competition is January 9th at Huntley.
GYMNASTICS
The team is back in action against Lake Forest January 5, at 5:30PM.
BOYS SWIMMING & DIVING
The Boys Swim and Dive Team competed at the Lake County Invite this past Saturday. The boys swam and dove well with all the tough competition they faced. Senior diver Blake Vander-Juegdt placed 2nd. He had a tricky first few dives but pulled it out with a second place finish with a score of 484.50. The team is at Zion on January 6th and at the Maine South Relays on January 8th.
WRESTLING
Your grapplers wrestled in the 55th annual Whitlatch Wrestling Tournament this past Friday and Saturday at Hinsdale Central High School. Year in and year out this is one of the toughest individual tournaments in the state. Captains and seniors Zach Sutor, Zach Piszkiewicz (Jr.), Giannmarco Beltran and Nevan Mitrovic continue to help lead this young and talented team. Sophomore Carlos Ordonez placed 8th at the tournament! To place at this tournament at such a young age is quite an accomplishment. Warren Frosh wrestled at Libertyville Saturday against Libertyville and Elk Grove and won 21 of 36 matches. Over the break the frosh wrestling team have a quad at Grant (12/30). The entire program will wrestle our lone home dual at Almond against Stevenson (1/5). The entire program will then wrestle an away dual against Mundelein (1/6). Finally, this young team will look to continue to improve as they wrestle in the “Cheesehead” individual tournament towards the end of winter break.
