Girls Basketball Tryout Notes
- You cannot tryout unless you have a valid physical on file in the Nurse’s office. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You cannot tryout unless your parents have filled out the online registration. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You must be passing 5 classes in order to be eligible to play.
- Did I say you cannot tryout unless the first two things are taken care of?
- There are three levels: Varsity, JV, and Frosh/Soph. Sophomores may be placed on the Frosh/Soph team. Juniors and Seniors may be placed on the JV team.
- Tryouts will last a maximum of three days.
- You must be properly dressed for basketball, meaning athletic shoes meant for basketball, athletic shorts, and t-shirt. If you have a blue and white reversible top from the summer then you must wear that.
- Bring your own water bottle. Water will be provided, but no water bottles.
- Be prepared to wear your hair so it is not in the way. No metallic pins.
- No jewelry.
- Be 5 minutes early.
- Be ready to work hard and be at your best.
- Tell your friends interested in basketball about tryouts.
- Attending open gyms will not affect whether you are placed on a team or not, but will help prepare you to fully participate in tryouts and be as close as possible to your best.
